Water vapor leak detector

Over time or due to equipment defects, water or steam leakage often occurs in the sulfur-to-acid plant system. During the production process of the sulfuric acid plant, water or steam leakage is the most undesirable, as it can lead to corrosion and damage to the economizer, absorption system, catalyst, and equipment. And it will lead to excessive acid mist in the exhaust. If the tail suction uses activated carbon desulfurization, it will lead to the failure of activated carbon desulfurization. Therefore, timely detection of whether there is water or steam leakage in the device is the most effective way to reduce the economic loss of the device. The traditional way to check for water or steam leakage is for the operator to go to the site every 4 to 8 hours to open the bottom valve and the acid discharge valve to check if there is condensate acid. This method has the following several drawbacks.

Product Performance

VLong inspection intervals are not conducive to the timely detection of device leakage. By the time it is discovered, economic losses have already been caused.

When the operator opens the inspection valve, a large amount of acidic gas will leak into the environment, posing a threat to personnel health and causing equipment corrosion.

When there is condensate acid inside the open inspection valve, the condensate acid will be ejected by the internal pressure and cause harm to the operator.

Due to the frequent opening and closing of the inspection valve and its influence by acid sludge and moist air, leakage of the inspection valve may occur, resulting in continuous leakage of acidic gas and environmental pollution.

To prevent the inspection valve from being damaged during operation, a double-valve combination is often adopted. However, due to the presence of acid sludge at the valve, it is difficult to open each time it is opened or closed, which causes a very high workload for the operator.
