- High-efficiency sulfur gun
As a key piece of equipment in the sulfuric acid production unit from sulfur, the atomization performance and quality of the sulfur gun directly affect whether the unit can operate safely, environmentally friendly and economically for a long time. According to statistics, during the operation of sulfuric acid production units from sulfur, unplanned production halts caused by sulfur gun issues account for over 30%, and their failure rate is significantly higher than that of pumps, static equipment leakage and electrical and instrumentation failures during operation. Sulfur-burning gun malfunctions often lead to other serious problems in the equipment, such as corrosion of the economizer, system blockage caused by sublimated sulfur, blockage of the demister in the drying tower, severe vibration of the fan, and large-scale leakage of corrosive flue gas from the sulfur-burning furnace. These issues can cause huge economic losses and long-term production halts for enterprises.
Given the significance of sulfur guns to the equipment, Lizhenglai Technology has been continuously focusing on the research and development of sulfur guns. By combining the harsh operating conditions of sulfur guns, it aims to solve the key problems currently faced by sulfur guns, such as atomization, bending, clogging, and leakage. The LGS4 series of high-efficiency sulfur guns independently developed by us, as the fourth-generation high-performance sulfur guns of Lizhenglai Technology, adopt four core technologies: solid cone atomization stratified combustion technology, gun body uniform temperature technology, direct flow speed increase technology, and high-diameter pressure-bearing butt welding technology, effectively solving the problems of atomization, bending, clogging and leakage of sulfur guns. This ensures that the device will not shut down due to sulfur gun failure during its long-term operation cycle, thereby avoiding economic losses to the enterprise caused by sulfur gun failure.
- Stratified atomization technology
The solid atomization stratified combustion technology features a rotating solid conical torch, achieving stratified combustion of sulfur mist. It effectively avoids the problem of oxygen deficiency at the front end caused by surface deflagration of the hollow cone fog torch, and there are no phenomena such as the generation of sublimated sulfur, delayed combustion, or overheating of the sulfur-burning furnace.
The speed-increasing forced atomization easily meets the low-load demand during the initial start-up of the device. It can operate at a load exceeding 120% without overheating. 100% liquid sulfur is burned in the air of the furnace, ensuring that no sublimated sulfur is produced during the start-up and shutdown of the device to clog the wire mesh demister of the drying tower and increase the vibration of the fan, as well as that the SO2 emissions in the exhaust gas do not exceed the standard and smoke accidents occur during startup, thus ensuring the safe and environmentally friendly start-up of the device.
- Body temperature equalization technology
The sulfur gun device is installed inside the sulfur-burning furnace. Its gun body will be affected by thermal expansion in a high-temperature environment. The 310S metal material used in the gun body has an expansion coefficient of approximately 16.6 × 10^-6(1/℃C).
According to the calculation formula h1=h0(1+a*ΔT), considering that the length of the gun body is usually between 2 and 3 meters, the external ambient temperature of the sulfur-burning furnace is approximately 400℃ during operation, but it rises to about 900℃ after shutdown. Based on this formula, the expansion of the gun body after shutdown is approximately 10 to 15 millimeters. If the distribution of thermal steam inside the gun body is uneven, resulting in a temperature difference between the upper and lower sides of the gun body, the expansion on both sides of the gun body will also be inconsistent, which in turn causes the gun body to bend upward. To solve this problem, we independently developed the gun body temperature equalization technology. This technology ensures that the temperature distribution of the gun body is uniform at 360° regardless of whether the sulfur-burning furnace is in operation or off, and the expansion volume remains consistent, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of gun body bending.

- Large flow channel direct connection technology
The sulfur gun is a core device in the equipment, and its service life should meet the planned operation cycle of the equipment. Due to the use of carbon steel materials in liquid sulfur pipelines or storage tank areas, corrosive iron sulfide may fall into the liquid sulfur and be transported to the sulfur gun, causing the sulfur gun to be blocked during operation, leading to equipment shutdown or production reduction. The high-efficiency sulfur gun nozzle adopts a large flow channel straight-through technology (flow area 376mm) and is equipped with an anti-clogging cone, which can effectively allow iron sulfide to pass through without being blocked. It can meet the usage requirements of the high-efficiency sulfur gun during its operation cycle. The high-efficiency nozzle is made of ultra-low iron content alloy wear-resistant alloy, which can effectively solve the problem of preventing iron from reacting with sulfur at high temperatures to form iron sulfide and cause corrosion, making the nozzle more durable.
- High-diameter pressure-bearing welding technology
Devices often appear because of sulfonated gun steam or leaked liquid sulfur and parking, because gun using the three layer casing welding manufacturing. Due to the high ambient temperature where the sulfur gun is located, the diameters of each layer of the jacket tube are not uniform. After being heated and expanded, the stress will be concentrated at the weak welding points. When there are tiny welding defects such as slag inclusions, pores, and hydrogen cracks at the welding points, stress concentration will occur, leading to welding failure and leakage of steam or liquid sulfur. Therefore, effective welding technology is the only way to solve the problem of sulfur gun leakage. The welds of the high-efficiency sulfur gun in the sulfur-burning furnace adopt high-diameter pressure-bearing welding technology and are fully protected with 99.999% high-purity argon gas, achieving single-sided welding and double-sided forming technology, high-quality welding technology, and are combined with 100% non-destructive testing of the welds, effectively avoiding welding defects and design defects, making the high-efficiency sulfur gun durable.
